Ballyhoura Luxury Hostel is a 42 bed family run hostel in the mountain village of Kilfinane, Co. Limerick on the borders of Cork and Tipperary. Ideal for Transition Year groups looking to team build or for those going for the Bronze/Silver Gaisce. You can lead the group on walks directly from the hostel or use a local walking guide.
The hostel itself is of the highest standard and is very comfortable and spacious with a large dining room and a big cosy sitting room with an open fire. We have lots of board games, a foosball table, 2 guitars and a piano aswell as large screen TV’s in the sitting and dining rooms. The accommodation sections are split in two, with an upstairs and a downstairs section, which makes it ideal for splitting up groups. We have a fully equipped self-catering kitchen available. Centra and ‘Tasty Bites’ take away are just a 2 minute walk away.
Located in the Ballyhoura mountains, with many hill walks on our doorstep, including Slievereagh, which is a 25 km hike taken from the hostel.
